Sarah and family’s Thorpe park challenge
Sarah O’Mallo
My Story
This September my family Mike, Tyler, Nina and myself will be taking part in the 5km run at Thorpe Park. We shall be running in and around the rides and rollercoasters and of course challenging ourselves to go on every ride within the theme park after the event. (including Steath propelling you from 0-80mph in 1.8 seconds)
We will be running for and supporting the Ickle Pickle Children's Charity, who fund vital medical equipment and resources to support the babies and their families admitted on neonatal units.
1 in 13 babies are born prematurely every year in the UK, with more and more babies now requiring specialized care at birth.
I have worked on the Neonatal unit at Lewisham Hospital for 8 years, where I have witnessed so many of the hurdles that new parents and families have to face daily, (not being able to hold baby, nor take them home as well as the complex emotions of feeling helplessness and of confusion)
Thank you for taking the time to visit and read our fundraising page
Every donation received, big or small has the potential for a profound impact
Please support if you can!!!
